Uniting in Strength. Resilience. Hope.

Brain Tumor Awareness Month is in full swing and we continue to be inspired by the:

STRENGTH in patients navigating a diagnosis.

It is estimated that over 100,000 people in the US will be diagnosed with a brain tumor this year. As the leading nonprofit dedicated to brain tumor patients and their families, the ABTA is here to support each and every one of them.

If you, a friend or loved one are newly diagnosed, start here.

RESILIENCE in families and caregivers showing up.

Despite facing a recurrence, Gwyneth and her family continue to persevere. They even started their own fundraiser for brain tumor research. If you haven’t already, check out their story.

You can also submit your own story during #BTAM. It’s a great way to let others know they’re not alone.

HOPE in the researchers working toward better treatments and outcomes.

In 2025, the ABTA funded over $1.3M via 31 grants to researchers, whose work focuses on a range of treatments, from immunotherapy to biomarkers, and an array of tumor types including glioblastoma, medulloblastoma and metastatic brain tumors.

You can learn more about these innovative researchers at our Research Funding & Impact page.

With your support, we continue to bridge the funding gaps caused by federal funding cuts to medical research in 2025. You can see all the good work we’re doing together in the latest ABTA impact report.
