Learn, Connect and Find Community at the ABTA 2026 National Conference.

From September 18–20, the American Brain Tumor Association will bring together patients, survivors, caregivers, loved ones and healthcare professionals for the ABTA 2026 National Conference. Join us in person in Chicago or participate online from the comfort of home or at your favorite cafe for a meaningful weekend filled with education, support and connection.

As the largest educational meeting designed specifically for brain tumor patients and caregivers, the ABTA National Conference offers a welcoming space to learn from leading experts, connect with people who understand and find resources to help throughout the brain tumor journey.

Learn From Leading Experts

Ask questions and hear directly from nationally recognized brain tumor experts about the topics that matter most to patients and families. Through educational presentations, expert panels and interactive breakout sessions, attendees can explore the latest developments in brain tumor research, treatment and care.

This year’s program will address clinical trials, symptom management, emotional well-being, nutrition, alternative therapies, and the evolving role of artificial intelligence in healthcare. Attendees can also experience the signature Brain Tumor Board, where a multidisciplinary panel of experts will examine real-life cases and discuss potential approaches to treatment.

These sessions are designed to provide practical, trustworthy information that can help patients and caregivers feel more informed, prepared, and empowered when making decisions about their care.

Hear Stories of Resilience and Hope

The conference will feature Christina Costa, PhD, assistant professor at Wayne State University, as the keynote speaker.

After being diagnosed with Grade III anaplastic astrocytoma in 2020, Christina drew upon her work in positive psychology while navigating surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. Today, she shares her experience with honesty, hope, and humor, inspiring others to find meaning in adversity.

Attendees will also hear directly from patients and caregivers during “If I Only Knew: Lessons from Brain Tumor Patients & Caregivers,” a candid conversation about the insights people wish they had received earlier in their journeys.

Register now for the ABTA 2026 National Conference.
