Beth Kasab

When Beth Kassab first attended the ABTA’s National Conference in 2023, she was admittedly hesitant. Beth lost her husband to a brain tumor in 2022, after 16 years of marriage and nearly five years of caregiving. On top of this, she herself had been diagnosed with a benign meningioma; she had a follow-up MRI just a week before the conference.

Despite her initial reluctance, Beth came to a powerful conclusion just after her first conference. “Being in a room filled with people who truly get it—patients, caregivers, researchers, doctors—reminded me that none of us are in this alone. This community is full of people who’ve been through the unimaginable and are still showing up, still finding ways to give back.”

Beth is now a member of the ABTA’s Volunteer Leadership Advisory Council and still attends the National Conference every year. She is a dedicated volunteer, donor and advocate, working hard to support the ABTA’s mission and to ensure that no one goes through this journey alone.
