Support Groups

IU Health Simon Cancer Center First Mondays Support Groups

Patients, caregivers, and children with parents diagnosed with brain tumors welcome. Attendees do not need to be IU Health patients to particiapte. During our First Monday’s program, we have a brain tumor support group. There is a light meal served from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and then the individual support groups begin.

Vouchers are provided for free parking. If the 1st Monday falls on a holiday then the meeting is held on the 2nd Monday of the month. Caregivers are welcome to attend the brain tumor support group or we have a separate caregiver support group. Children are welcome to attend the “Children of Parents with Cancer Support Group” led by a child-life specialist from IU Health Riley Hospital for Children.

We have an open discussion and participation is optional, but encouraged. We sometimes have an art therapist available for a small project or musical therapist.

Meeting location: IU Health Simon Cancer, Pavilion Atrium, Barnhill Entrance
