“A team of researchers at Ohio State University have found that changes in immune activity seem to signal a growing brain tumor five years before symptoms appear. Typically, by the time brain tumors are diagnosed they are already advanced. Symptoms attributed to a brain tumor include headaches, memory loss, changes in personality, problems with vision and others.
The results of this study must be confirmed, and while a blood test for people without symptoms would not be practical, these findings may lead to new techniques for earlier detection of brain tumors and may also help to design treatments to discontinue the growth of existing brain tumors.”
