Gray Matters Brain Tumor Support Group

This is a support group for families that are in the midst of living with a brain tumor. Group is Peer facilitated. Group welcomes patients, their family, friends (typically 18 and over as some discussions may not be appropriate for youth). We are an established group and some attendees have been here from day one over 20 years. Group is made up of all survivor journeys, from Menigioma to GBM. Group ensures everyone is given an opportunity to ask questions and/or share. Group is open to discussion but always stresses you must speak to your doctor for medical advice. Group has a nurse navigatior for the first 20 minutes before starting as a resource for families should they have specific medical questions. It is encouraged to those who have never been to a support group to attend at least once. Facilitator can connect the bereaved with a local grief-focused group. Registration is not needed but recommended.
Parking available in 6th Avenue garage. Bring garage parking card and a sticker will be provided to cover the cost.
Group meets just behind the cafeteria (you will see glass double doors) in Conference Center, room 2.
