Chocolate Cake for a Cause at Doc B’s Restaurant

To celebrate the memory of "Doctor B" along with his birthday and love of chocolate cake, for each slice of Rob's Double-Decker Chocolate Cake sold in February, Doc B's Restaurant will donate $5 to the ABTA in his honor. Available at all Doc B's locations:  Chicago (2 locations); Dallas, Fort Worth; Austin; Tampa; Fort Lauderdale; Coral Gables.

Robertson Racing 2020 – One Lap of America

May 2 - May 9

For the third year, Scott Robertson and team are racing to raise funds for the ABTA in honor of Scott's father, Bill Robertson, who helped launch his son into the racing world.  In May, they'll compete in Brock Yates' One Lap of America, a 7-day race that starts at Grissom AFB in Indiana, and ends at GingerMan Raceway near South Haven, MI.

Mindee Plugues


Mindee J. Plugues, of Los Angeles, CA, is vice president, marketing for the Applebee’s brand and brings skills including brand strategy, executive leadership, and marketing to the board. Plugues has been an ABTA donor since April 2001, following her father’s passing from GBM. She is also a former member of the ABTA endurance program, Team Breakthrough.

Bob Kruchten


Bob Kruchten, of Mount Prospect, IL, is a sales manager at Extreme Reach, a leading advertising technology company. He has strong skills in communications and fundraising, and has been advocating for the ABTA for 19 years in tribute to his best friend, Paul Fabbri, who lost his 10-year battle with GBM in 1998. Kruchten accepted the ABTA’s Joel A. Gingras Jr. Award in 2015 on behalf of the Paul Fabbri Memorial Fund.
