CancerCare is offering a free, 12-week telephone support group for people diagnosed with malignant brain tumors. This group will provide a safe place to exchange support and receive information and guidance while discussing the unique challenges of living with a brain tumor diagnosis.

P.U.G.S., Pediatric Union of Grey Support, is a group for families affected by pediatric brain tumors under the umbrella of the 1 Voice Foundation. Parking, dinner and child-care is provided free of charge. Siblings are also welcome.

The BEAT (Brain Tumor Education and Therapy) Connection’s goal is to Educate, Support and Connect families whose children are diagnosed with brain and spinal cord tumors. BEAT offers separate Educational Sessions for parents, young adult survivors and teen patients. Guest speakers present information about treatment and long-term survival issues. Licensed counselors facilitate separate Support Groups for parents; teen patients/survivors age 12-16; and young adult patients/survivors. Younger patients/survivors and siblings have exciting activities designed by the therapy staff.
BEAT Support Groups meet six times a year on Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The dates are Jan.27- March 31- May 5: BEAT at the St. Louis ZOO – July 28 – Sept. 27- Resource Fair/ Picnic – Nov. 3.
