When I was 5 years old, I found out that I had cancer. I had a medulloblastoma - a brain tumor. All of my family members were sad and hopeful. I had to go through 18 months of chemotherapy and 6 weeks of radiation. I had to go to the hospital for 15 days. I had to go through an 8 ‡ hour surgery. I had to take lots of medicines, shots, and needles. While I was at the hospital, I had to wake up in the middle of the night to have my blood pressure and my temperature taken. I had to get my blood taken a lot. I was 5 years old then and now I am 15 years old. On March 29th of the year 2000, it had been 10 years since my brain tumor. I have been in remission for 10 years. Even though this happened and it was very hard for my family members and I, I pulled through it and came out great. I had many great doctors, nurses, friends, and family members to help me through it. The people that helped me the most were my mom and my granny.
