Ride of My Life

March 7, 2016 - Wellington, New Zealand,

My name is Louise Curtis from Wellington, New Zealand, and I have Brain Cancer. I was told "It's just Bad Luck!" In September 2012, I injured my foot in an exercise class that turned into Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome. Then after more Specialists and repeat tests it was discovered I had a Brain tumour. It was supposed to be a low-grade glioma, but after an Awake Craniotomy it was found to be an Anaplastic Astrocytoma. I have had weeks of Radiation and Chemotherapy, then more Chemotherapy, and cycle as my pain relief and means of transport. I am raising money for the Cancer Society of NZ and Malaghan Institute of Medical Research and Canteen- support for Teens and their families, through events on my bike and also the 'Relay For Life'. Please check out my page: givealittle.co.nz/fundraiser/graperide2015. I would love to be able to make a difference when I can, to help all of us who have been diagnosed with this ugly disease!
