I was diagnosed with a 4th ventricular Epidermoid brain tumor on December 22,2015.I was terrified.I had already took a first MRI with no contrast.my doc couldn't tell what it was.so he referred me for a second one.Earlier that day before I was diagnosed I was working.I kept losing my balance quite often. Also my vision kept getting blurred..A lot of my co-workers kept asking me am I trying to lose weight (I was getting skinny). So that day December 22,2015 I was at work I knew I had a dr.appointment at 3:30pm.So I made it to my app.the waiting room was full.A man came in dr. Office after he checked in.He sat beside me handed me a pamphlet about CHRIST.i took the pamphlet at the same time I was being called back to see the doc.as I'm waiting on the doc to come in I looked at the pamphlet I received and started browsing through it.About that time the doc. Came rushing in saying ERIK I'm pretty sure you have a large MASS.I said what's that??He said a brain tumor.my doc gave a bible and said to me LETS PRAY..I was shook.by that time I'm calling my sister to hear a familiar voice.the doc said I have someone for you to talk too.It was the man that gave me the pamphlet.he prayed with me .after that I went and told my family. The doctors sent me to CHARLESTON SC.MUSC for surgery.IM THANKFUL I wasn't. diagnosed with cancer. The tumor was benign.the surgery lasted at least 4 hrs to removed.the doc.there said I was born with it (rare skin cell)..IM THANKFUL to be alive it's a lot I can't do anymore but I've learned to overcome my disabilities.BTW I'm 43 yrs old now.i was diagnosed when I was 42 years old.
