May 3, 2013 - Macomb, Michigan

In 2012, one of the most unthinkable things happened in my world, not once, but twice. I have 2 special needs sons. They are biological brothers that are now 15 and 12. They were BOTH diagnosed with the same brain tumor and the same genetic cancer. The kicker, was that they were diagnosed 2.5 months apart. The odds of one, 1 in 1 million. The odds of his younger brother having it, 1 in 12 million if not more. I am lucky that it was very treatable and they are both now in remission.
