Taking on the role of caregiver for a loved one with a brain tumor is something that you may not have expected. Your new role comes with many responsibilities that can challenge a caregiver in ways never imagined.

As a caregiver you will need to become an expert not only in attending to a patient’s physical needs, but also in managing the details and communication with doctors, pharmacists, insurance companies, employers and others. Each caregivers needs and experience are different. You may be a parent taking care of a child, a child taking care of a parent, or taking care of your spouse or partner. This section of the website will help you find the caregiving information to meet your needs. No matter what your situation, you will have needs as a caregiver, just as your loved one has needs as well.

The ABTA is here to help you meet those needs and understand and cope with your role as a caregiver. If you have any questions, our Care Consultants are available through our CareLine at 800-886-ABTA (2282) or by email at
