Group is founded and maintained by those who have lived the journey with brain tumors. Group welcomes patients and family, friend, support ( typically 18 and over).Some of the members have been attending since group started. Group has all types of survivor tumor types, GBM to Menigiomas. Group ensures everyone is given an opportunity to ask questions and or share. Group is open to discussion but always stresses you must speak to your doctor for medical advice. Group has a nurse navigatior for the first 20 minutes before starting as a resource for families. It is encouraged to those who have never been to a support group to attend at least once. This group has been active for over 20 years. It is a group for families that are in the midst of the journey. Facilitator can connect the bereaved with a local grief-focused group. Registration is not needed but recommended.
Parking available in 6th Avenue garage. Bring garage parking card and a sticker will be provided to cover the cost.
Group meets just behind the cafeteria (you will see glass double doors) in Conference Center, room 2.
