The BEAT [Brain Tumor Education and Therapy] Connection's goal is to Educate, Support and Connect families whose children are diagnosed with brain and spinal cord tumors. BEAT offers separate Educational Sessions for parents and teen patients/survivors. Guest speakers present information about treatment and long-term survival issues. Licensed counselors facilitate separate Support Groups for parents; teen patients/survivors age 12-16; and young adult patients/survivors. Younger patients/survivors and siblings have exciting activities designed by the therapy staff. BEAT Support Groups meet six times a year on Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Please contact Moroline Whittington (314-454-5196 or moroline.whittington@bjc.org) before attending. Catered lunch is served. Parking is free.

The Beat Connection is a support group sponsored by Friends of Kids with Cancer and is available to all pediatric brain and spinal cord tumor patients and their families.
