Luis Parada, PhD, is the Professor and Chairman, Department of Developmental Biology; Director, Kent Waldrep Center for Basic Research on Nerve Growth and Regeneration, University of California, San Francisco. He received his doctoral degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technolgoy. His research interests include developmental neurobiology, mouse models of CNS tumos, neurofibromatosis, neurotrophins, and spinal cord injury.
