Cory Raffel, MD, PhD, is Clinical Professor of Neurological Surgery at University of California, San Francisco, Department of Neurological Surgery, in San Francisco, CA. He received his doctoral degrees from the University of California, San Diego, completed a residency in neurosurgery at the University of California, San Francisco, and a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. He is board certified in pediatric neurological surgery. He serves on the American Association of Neurological Surgeons Joint Section on Tumors Executive Committee and chairs their Research SubCommittee. Dr. Raffel is an NIH/National Cancer Institute Grant Reviewer; his research interests include pediatric medulloblastoma, neurofibromatosis, and virotherapies.
