Since 1973, the American Brain Tumor Association has invested donations to provide brain tumor patients and caregivers, across all ages and tumor types, with mostly free comprehensive support resources and educational programming, as well as the critical funding of research in the pursuit of breakthroughs in diagnoses, treatments and care.

The ABTA is a federally recognized 501(c)(3)organization dedicated to advancing our mission through careful and responsible stewardship of our donor contributions. As a designated  501(c)(3) organization, all donations are tax deductible and gratefully appreciated.

Fiscal Responsibility

The American Brain Tumor Association earned a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, America’s premier charity evaluator. 

Receiving four out of a possible four stars indicates that our organization adheres to good governance and other best practices that minimize the chance of unethical activities and that we consistently execute our mission in a fiscally responsible way. 

IRS Form 990

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Form 990 is an annual federal informational return that most tax-exempt charitable corporations are required to file. The information in the Form 990 is provided in accordance with IRS regulations.

Audited Financial Statements

An audited financial statement is a financial statement that has been prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and has been audited by an independent certified public accountant in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
