Breakthrough for Brain Tumors 5K Makes a Run for Columbus, Ohio

Chicago, Ill., June 3, 2015 – The American Brain Tumor Association announced today that the BT5K Columbus Breakthrough for Brain Tumors Run & Walk will be held on Saturday, June 13 at Arch Park/McFerson Commons in Columbus, Ohio.

“The BT5K run/walk is our signature fundraising event that brings communities together to raise vital funds for promising brain tumor research and essential education and support services for patients, caregivers, and their families,” said Elizabeth M. Wilson, MNA, President and CEO, American Brain Tumor Association. “We are thrilled to be returning to Columbus with our growing 5K event.”

The American Brain Tumor Association’s BT5K is open to runners and walkers of all ability. This family-friendly event is one of the organization’s eight run/walks taking place in cities coast to coast. Thousands are expected to participate with a goal of raising more than $250,000 to fund brain tumor research and give more patients, caregivers and families access to critical education, information and support services.
