-- Run/Walk to be held Saturday, May 21, 2017 --
Chicago, May 16, 2016 – The American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) will offer a free interactive “journey through the brain” experience with a larger-than-life inflatable brain exhibit at the BT5K Los Angeles Breakthrough for Brain Tumors Run & Walk on Saturday, May 21 at the Pomona Fairplex. For more information or to register, click here.
The inflatable brain exhibit stands 16 feet high, 10 feet long, and is open free-of-charge to Los Angeles and surrounding area residents. Tours will offer a first-hand look inside the brain where you can learn more about brain tumors, brain anatomy and understand the inner workings of the most complex organ in the body. “We’re excited to bring this hands-on, educational experience to our BT5K event series, where people can walk through a realistic replica of the brain to learn more about the brain and brain tumors,” said Adam Wilt, Advancement Director, Events, American Brain Tumor Association. “We are thrilled to be here with our growing 5K event and to help raise awareness and funding for promising brain tumor research and essential education and support services.”
The BT5K Los Angeles Run/Walk is one of the ABTA’s signature fundraising events that brings communities together to raise vital funds for promising brain tumor research and essential education and support services for patients, caregivers and their families. There are nine BT5K events across the nation.
