Chicago, Ill., April 23, 2015 – The American Brain Tumor Association announced that the BT5K Michigan Breakthrough for Brain Tumors Run & Walk will be held on Saturday, May 2 at Kensington Metropark in Milford, MI. This event is presented by St. John Providence Van Elslander Neuroscience Institute.
“The BT5K run/walk is our signature fundraising event that brings communities together to raise vital funds for promising brain tumor research and essential education and support services for patients, caregivers, and their families,” said Elizabeth M. Wilson, MNA, president and CEO, American Brain Tumor Association. “We are thrilled to be in Milford with our growing 5K event."
BT5K Michigan event is Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at Kensington Metropark, 2240 W Buno Road, Milford, MI 48380. Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to participate. Participants can learn more or register online at BT5K.org.
The American Brain Tumor Association’s BT5K is open to runners and walkers of all ability. This family-friendly event is one of the organization’s eight run/walks taking place in cities coast to coast. Thousands are expected to participate with a goal of raising more than $240,000 to fund brain tumor research and give more patients, caregivers and families access to critical education, information and support services.
