Learn more about the ABTA/ONS Foundation Neuro-Oncology Nursing Research Grant.
This $10,000 award is designed to encourage nursing research in symptom management, psychosocial issues, or quality of life in neuro-oncology patients and their families.
Eligibility Criteria
The principal investigator must be actively involved in some aspect of neuro-oncology patient care, education, or research. Applicants who are early in their research career and have not received previous research funding of greater than $5,000 must have a doctorally-prepared oncology nurse scientist as a co-investigator who has an established track record of independent (extramural) research funding and publications.
Funding preference is given to projects that involve nurses in the design and conduct of the research activity and that promote theoretically based oncology practice. Membership in ONS is not required for eligibility. This $10,000 award is given at the beginning of the award period; the researcher has two years to complete the study.
The award is funded by the American Brain Tumor Association, and administered by the ONS Foundation Small Grants Program. Additional information and applications for the ONS Foundation’s Small grants Awards are available at www.nursingawards.org.
