"New Trends, New Treatments" explains the latest treatment advances-- Convection-Enhanced Delivery, New Imaging Techniques, Tissue Banking, Targeted Therapies, Biologic Therapies, and Changing Standards of Care. "Dispelling the Myths About Clinical Trials," responds to five of the more common misbeliefs about participating in a brain tumor clinical trial (research study). We also announce ABTA's simultaneous funding of thirty-one Basic Research Fellowships, four Translational and Project grants, nine Medical Student Summer Fellowships, commitments to SPORE research, quality of life, collaborative efforts and epidemiology initiatives, and we report on the research accomplished during our last funding period.
